    my wife and i have been staying here for almost 20 years.mom and pam have always treated us with the most courtesy.and respect.the rooms due need a little tlc but we are only there ti go fishing . we love it there and hate to see it sold.wish i had the money i would buy it.

    Family run for over 50 years this is a wonderful place to stay! This is the only place I stay in Nags Head when I come down here. Clean, spacious rooms. Solicitous staff and right on the beach also! For the best views get a room on either the second or third floor. Definitely a great place to stay though when you are coming on vacation!

    We chose the Blue Heron on advice of friends and were very happy we did. All the rooms face the ocean and have either a patio for the few ground floor rooms, and balcony for the others. Rooms are comfortable and price is great. Staff is friendly.

  • Love this "mom and pop" motel at Nags Head. Just your cute little place that has only around 30 units. No frills (1 indoor pool and hot tub and 2 outside pools) motel that does all the little things right. Always have the nicest staff and maids. Lots and lots of repeat business. We've been going here for 10 years straight and others have been coming for over 20 years. There's even some couples that come and stay a month. It is up for sale for around 2 years. I secretly hope it doesn't. Lol
